red, silver, white and gold amoeba like shapes to announce to "participating artists" the "Sell What You Wear" signup deadline of 5/19 for the Around and Round exhibit + sale opening reception on "June 2" 2024 from "2-4PM"; the exhibit is for "jewelry & sculpture"

Everyone is welcome at the Opening Reception
June 2, 2024 from 2 – 4 pm

Exhibiting artists are invited to participate in the “Sell What You Wear” experience at the “Around and Round” exhibit opening reception

Bring a list of SELL WHAT YOU WEAR items to the artwork drop off. The gallery needs this list to prepare for possible sales of jewelry you plan to wear at the opening reception.

HOW TO “SELL WHAT YOU WEAR
Each exhibiting artist may wear pieces to the opening reception that are for sale, IF you fill out the form below. Once PVA has the information you enter which includes, the sales price (WITH the commission for PVA included, media used, title, and description) those pieces will be considered part of that selling opportunity.

All exhibiting artists are encouraged to participate. If this is your first time exhibiting and you have questions, send us an email and we will answer your questions.

Artwork for Sale If a person at the opening reception is interested in buying a piece that you are wearing, take that person with you to the PVA office at the front of the gallery. PVA staff will assist you and will help the customer purchase your piece(s).

Membership in PVA is optional, but encouraged. See: pvarts.org to join
For items that sell, PVA will take a 30% commission on your artwork if you are a member of PVA. The commission rate is 45% if you are not a member of PVA. Work should be priced accordingly.

You have already submitted this form three times.

Contact Toni Danzig and Annette Nemes via exhibits@mbmag.org if you wish to wear more pieces for the reception's Sell What You Wear.

DETAILS

MBMAG has been invited to share the joy of metal smithing with the community at the Monterey Museum of Art’s first Block Party event. As part of the education and outreach mission of the guild, we will be offering our Make-a-Bracelet program to show people of all ages how to make a simple copper cuff bracelet.

We need at least 10 volunteers to help with this event. We need people to guide children and adults in using metal stamps on copper blanks, helping to form them into a bracelet shape and demonstrating how to use Liver of Sulfur patina. We’ll need a few people to come a half hour early to help us set up and to stay a half hour after the even for tear-down.
