Zoom Session, Sunday August 2, 2026 at 11-12:30 (PDT)
With Jennifer Altmann, Writer & Fan of Contemporary Jewelry

Jennifer has been helping metal artists craft a unique artist statement and express their vision clearly! This is workshop that all of us need.
Craft 300-500 word artist statement that expresses your vision for your artwork. Prompts and exercises will be offered to help artists land on the right words to describe their work in this guided step-by-step session. The workshop will cover how to talk about inspirations, materials used, influences, concepts explored and more.
We will discuss how to be succinct, what vocabulary to use — and words to stay away from— as well as how artists explain their work in a way that is accessible to everyone.
Hosted by Jennifer Altman with the support of MAG. No need to be a MAG member.
MAG has graciously offered the $10 member pricing to all MBMAG and SMAC members. This live zoom workshop will not be recorded.
