Location: Monterey Peninsula College Gallery, 980 Fremont St. Monterey
The exhibition levels the playing field by providing all participating artists with the same materials through a required kit, which also functions as the exhibition registration fee. Partial proceeds from both kit sales and artwork sales will benefit MBMAG and the Monterey Peninsula College Jewelry and Metal Arts Department Trust, allowing the exhibition to serve as a fundraiser that directly supports the local metals and jewelry community.

Eligibility & Requirements
- Open to MBMAG members (limited to the first 30 artists to register)
- All levels welcome!
- Pieces must be made up of at least 80% of provided materials kit
- $25 fee for up to 3 pieces (The entry fee is non-refundable)
- No jurying or images required to participate
EXHIBIT OVERVIEW

Material Play invites students from Monterey Peninsula College, Cabrillo College, San José State University, Creator Haven, and MBMAG guild members to approach making with curiosity, experimentation, and openness. The exhibition celebrates the joy of working directly with materials, testing limits, combining the unexpected, and allowing process to guide outcome.

Gallery Hours:
The MPC Gallery is not regularly staffed. During the exhibition period, the gallery will be open to the public on Saturdays from 1:00–3:00 PM, staffed by students participating for extra credit or MBMAG Volunteers or by appointment.
