Argentium® Fabrication and Granulation Workshop Description
Local artist and instructor Lynette Cederquist will teach how to fuse Argentium® wire, granules and pieces together, what torch and tools to use; and tips and tricks to make the unique properties of this low tarnish sterling silver come alive for you.
We will be making two practice pieces that can be alike and become earrings or each one different–your choice. Our final project will be a small pendant that you may design yourself or use a design provided by the instructor.
In addition to the unique skills needed for working with Argentium® silver, we will also be practicing sawing, filing precisely and piercing.
The skills you learn can be used with fine silver as well as 18K and 22K gold alloys.
Prerequisites:
– Basic metalsmith skills are required
