Design Challenges

The Monterey Bay Metal Arts Guild challenges it’s members to create new artwork based on every changing design challenge guidelines. Members vote on the finished submitted designs using an anonymous voting method. Winners are announced at all-member guild parties.

In the past, design challenges have come with kits of found objects and other items which are incorporated into the design. Sometimes, a certain number of the kit items must be included. Other times, suggestions as to a type of the finished sculptural piece are given and no kit is provided.
