Lucky enough to find myself in a place and time that offered all the ingredients necessary to be creative and make a living, (the American Hand Made Crafts Marketplace); I began exploring the jewelry making world and how to express myself in this medium. Direct metal fabrication by means of sawing, bending, forming, grinding, filing, soldering, surface texturing work like roller printing, satin and high polishing, hammer toning and oxidizing work, acid etching, stone setting, all are techniques used in the process of the jewelry that I make.
Beautiful gemstones of endless transparent and translucent colors, geometric shapes, precious metals of Gold and Silver, make for my palette of raw materials. It’s wonderful to work with such a palette and sometimes difficult to tame. I find the challenge of producing a piece of jewelry exciting both in the mastering of techniques and the creative process.
