I have always loved to create something beautiful. A native Californian, I was six years old when I won first place for my color crayon picture in the Haggin Museum’s Children’s Art Show in Stockton. The same year I made doll clothes for my dolls on my mother’s sewing machine (which was of course off limits!). For many years I taught Home Ec including classes in sewing, clothing, textile, and interior design and cooking.
For the past six years, I have been learning and creating in a new area: metalsmithing/jewelry. I have studied with some of the very best metal jewelry artists/teachers in the country and will continue to learn and explore. I am currently working with silver, copper, high karat gold, glass beads, and gemstones. My style is contemporary. People describe my work as beautiful and unique, colorful, fun, and one of my favorite, “Fantastico!”.
